DAY 1 : WELCOME TO HO CHI MINH CITY (L/D)
Arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, formerly named Saigon is the largest city and economic center of Vietnam always bustled with activities of modern life. It is where businesses converge and shoppers indulge themselves into unlimited choices. However the city also carries with it a rich historical legacy in contrast with its dazzling glamor. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to lunch at local Halal restaurant. Afternoon we will visit the most interesting sights in Saigon includes: the neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, City Hall (Hotel De Ville), the old Opera House (both may only be viewed from the outside). Then to Ar-Rahim Mosque (built by Malaysian-Indonesian Muslim in 1885). Shopping at Hard Rock Cafe for souvenirs. Dinner on Indochina traditional Boat cruising along Saigon river. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 2 : HO CHI MINH CITY HIGHLIGHTS – CU CHI TUNNELS (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Cu Chi Tunnels, 70 km Northwest of downtown Ho Chi Minh City, which were once a major underground hideout and resistance base of Viet Cong forces during the two wars against the French and later on Americans. The tunnels, entirely hand-dug, formed a highly intricate network of interlinked multilevel passageways at times stretched as far as the Cambodian border and totaling over 120 km in length. Its complexity was beyond imagination containing meeting rooms, kitchens, wells, clinics, schools, depots, trenches and emergency exits all aimed for guerrilla warfare. The tunnels were deep and strong enough to withstand destructive bombings and self-contained enough to outlast prolonged sieges. Return to Ho Chi Minh for lunch at a halal restaurant. Afternoon praying at Majid Musulman – this is the most crowded mosque in Saigon, built in 1935 by Indian Muslims. Then tour in the city starting first with the The War Remnants Museum, which features an extensive collection of exhibits including weaponry, photos and documentation on Vietnam’s wars with the French and Americans, The Reunification Palace was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until April 30, 1975 when the North Vietnamese tanks came crashing through the front gates, bringing the U.S.-Vietnam War to a dramatic end. Shopping at Saigon Square or Ben Thanh Market. Dinner at local Halal restaurant. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 3 : HO CHI MINH CITY – MEKONG DELTA – CAN THO (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. Travel by road to the lush Mekong Delta, the world’s largest delta and Vietnam’s largest rice bowl. En-route, stop for shot rest. Afterward, continues to transfer to My Tho. On arrival in My Tho City, capital of Tieng Giang Province, embark on a boat and navigate through intricate canals while observing the local daily life up close as well as the landscape of waterways and lush islands. Land on the Island to enjoy wandering through Verdant Orchards, tasting Fresh fruits and listening to some Southern style traditional music. Move on to the second delta province, Ben Tre, where you will watch local villagers make Coconut Candy in a rural workshop, walk around briefly and cruising to some Beekeeping households to taste fresh homegrown honey and honey tea. Take a Hand Rowing boat on small canal with beautiful scenery of country side. Lunch at local Halal restaurant. In the late afternoon proceed to Can Tho, the capital city of the Mekong Delta. Dinner at the local restaurant (pork free). Stay overnight in Can Tho.
DAY 4 : CAN THO – CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET – CHAU DOC (B/L/D)
Morning, start your boat trip on Hau river to Cai Rang Floating market – A biggest floating market beginning from sunrise to late morning but it is busiest from 8 to 10 am. The shops and stalls at the market are local boats of different sizes. The main items sold are farm products and specialties of Cai Rang Town and neighboring areas. Wholesale is the main form of trading in this market. What you need to do here is to sit back on your boat, enjoy the morning coffee served by the local coffee boat and watch the whole world of trading going on from boats to boats. As your boat edges through the market, you will be surely driven back to the yester-centuries by the sound of bargaining, rowing, motoring mixed with the sound made from the coffee boats, meat boats, grocery boats, ice boats… Saying goodbye Cai Rang floating market, your boat will speed up through green and beautiful channels of the Mekong River stretching along rural villages and arrive a fruit orchard where you can enjoy some kind of tropical fruit and understand more the real life of local people. 10am: Boat cruise back to town and car take you to visit Binh Thuy ancient house before driving for lunch at the local restaurant (pork free). Afternoon, transfer to Chau Doc. Upon arrival, check-in the hotel. Dinner at the local restaurant (pork free). Stay overnight in Chau Doc.
DAY 5 : CHAU DOC – TRA SU CAJUPUT FOREST – HO CHI MINH CITY (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. Visit a village of Cham ethnic people, Muslim mosque and towel weaving. Tour continue to Tra Su cajuput forest which is renowned for not only its almost-untouched natural beauty but also its sanctuary of flora and fauna. Taking a boat trip into the forest and harmonizing oneself with nature. The impressive pictures of cajuputs, the fragrance of flowers and the musiclike noise of birds, insects and animals will definitely make travelers do not want to leave. From the observation post, the forest can be seen with an area of nearly 900 ha, home of many birds and animals, including some rare ones. Then, have lunch at a nearby restaurant (pork free). Afterward, transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City (206km – 6 hours driving). Dinner at local Halal restaurant. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 6 : HO CHI MINH CITY – DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy your free time to explore this city until transfer to airport for flight home with sweet memories.
